Ship Rant Follow Up

I kinda wanna follow up on the journal that I made last night, as it seems that even though I was half asleep and drowsy, I wasn't spewing stupid stuff.

So to follow up, I wanted to go deeper into this topic.
When I say, "whoring" your OCs, I basically mean that you are having them get into so many little ships, or getting them involved with as many people as you possibly can.
Which..In the long run, if you want your OC to be involved with one of them seriously in the long run, you better be prepared to have to let the other people down.
I can speak from experience that, that seriously sucks. I hate doing that because I hate hurting people's feelings.
So please..if you are seriously considering keeping your OC single, then do so. There's just no need to like..flaunt their singleness to try and get more people chasing after them. There's no need, and really, it's just influencing other people to do so.
There's no need for this stuff, guys.

Take this shit slow. Ships =/= Happiness.
Make friends with other OCs AND their admins.
Have MULTIPLE role plays. You really can't base a relationship off of just ONE roleplay.
It just..It doesn't give the pairing enough time to really get to know each other, and it's RUSHING the fact that;
Real people don't talk one time, then decide they want to date.
When considering a ship, think of it from a real stand point.
Like..would you date someone you talked to ONCE?
I wouldn't, that's too soon, and you don't know the person yet.

More ship complaints!

If you are serious about liking a ship, or wanting to make something canon;
TELL THE OTHER ADMIN.
And to follow up on that.
If the other OC is TAKEN, no, you cannot, and I mean, CANNOT, get in between that OC and their partner.
If it's canon, the admins must be pretty freaking serious about wanting them together.
Even more so if they have kids.
Kids = Yeah, no flirting here.

To have a good ship, admins have to have a good relationship. Having a friendship going is like..the basis of the ship.
Even if the ship isn't drawn as much as they used to be, the friendship keeps the OCs together.
If you aren't friends with the admin, then your ship probably won't sail for very long.
But then, who knows. It's just what I've seen.

I'm pretty sure this has been touched a thousand times, but obviously, no one is learning this.
If there is a new OC in the community.
That does NOT give you the go to go basically like..get in their pants.
NO.
No one wants to be pestered with ships and serious questions like that when they JUST made the OC!
That is another form of rushing it, and it DOES NOT end well!
OCs develop relationships just like real people do.
By meeting, making friends, and gradually developing feelings.
I mean..Honestly..
Example;
Ace and Lyds were friends for a real long time before her admin and I talked about it as a ship.
They were like best friends before they started to be something more.

Please just..stop all the nonsense.
Ships are meant to be fun, but with all this stuff above that..not only I, but other people have seen
It doesn't make shipping very fun. It makes it kind of a pain to work with.
Please just..stop.
